A special Election Night episode. Before we get to the electoral stuff, we play some voice comments left by nice listeners. These include a comment from Alan, calling Eric out on an insensitive comment he made on episode #44. Jen calls and wants to know about the Birmingham Jewish community's attitude towards Halloween, and we discuss. We talk about this week's Simpsons "Treehouse of Horror" episode, including "Operation: Enduring Occupation" and the blatant Iraq reference that was removed. Finally, we get to the election night goodness, and we play a voice comment and a "California Election Update" from Ashley and Anthony from the Dixiecast, then discuss the national and Alabama races. 48 minutes, 23 seconds.

Thanks for your comments regarding the feedback I left last week. I knew you spoke with out any intent to offend. No harm, no foul.
In answers to your questions. Yes it is cold here (31 degrees last night with rain). Yes, I am a Bears fan and have been for many many years. From the years they were 2-14 to the '85 Bears to the current bears.
Unfortunately - I do not like Rex. I think he is a gunslinger - but hopefully he can provide enough offense to allow the Bears defense to win the games.
I do not live in Chicago but a suburb about 50 miles north near Great America.
I tend to listen to your podcasts either when I am driving or training for my next marathon. Your podcast (along with some of my other favorites) really help to pass the time when I am pounding out the miles (15 miles today on the treadmill). So keep up the good work!
