Jews in Alabama, Episode #53

Pretty much a HealthCast this time, we give updates on what's been going on with Raya's dad and with Sophie, healthwise. (Warning -- discussion of hospital procedures and baby bodily fluids ensues.) We also talk about the March of Dimes WalkAmerica, and the great success of "TEAM SOPHIE." We visited an art festival in downtown Birmingham last weekend; this weekend, a million things are going on, first and foremost: Rabbi Joseph Telushkin comes to Temple Beth-El! Hopefully Sophie will be healthy enough to meet him! (47 minutes, 16 seconds)

Caught your podcast for the first time. Thought it was about being Jewish in the South, or some other stretch of the topic. But instead it was just unbelievable drivel about how your days went, how much your kid threw up, etc, etc.... Is there some reason you think this is interesting to other people who you don't know?

Wow, Jerry. What an incredible asshole you are!! I'm so sorry that our FREE podcast didn't entertain you sufficiently. Did someone force you to listen to it?

If you've listened to any previous episodes, or even read the show notes, you would have seen that the show is often about being Jewish in the South, specifically in Alabama.

But in essence, it's a show about us. We produce it, we pay the costs associated with it, and we'll talk about whatever the hell we want. On this episode, we chose to update our listeners on some of the reasons why we'd been absent from the airwaves for a month. Again, sorry that this didn't meet with your approval, you son of a bitch.

Our 100 subscribers and the 400-500 additional people who download each episode seem to enjoy the "drivel" of our podcast. We produce it for those people, not for dickless trolls like you who have nothing better to do than leave malicious comments on websites.

Jerry, I hate cowards like you, people who leave comments linked to a hidden Blogger profile. You have no blog to share, no podcast of your own, nothing to contribute to Internet society; or if you do, you're ashamed of it, keeping it hidden. Go fuck yourself.

I was searching the web concerning internet trolls and the effect of trolls on forums, blogs etc. Your blog showed on a search. Don't fret my friend, take a deep breath, enjoy life, your family, friends and Gods good earth. Don't let the trolls get you down.

I like your blog, it reminds me of the challenging and fun times of raising children. Now I get the priveledge of spoiling and teaching my grand children on life's little challenges, such as the "trolls" along life's road.

Have a Happy and Joyful Holiday Season. Garry Morgan
